Volkswagen - TSI Badge
Explaination and usages
What does actually the TSI badge mean on vehicles by Volkswagen?
Abbreviation of Twincharged Stratified Injection, this badge is used within Volkswagen Group (VW, Audi, Škoda, Seat) on cars powered by engines based on the same technology. These are the gasoline power-trains that combine mechanical supercharger and turbocharger, and sometimes direct injection when this label often becomes TFSI. Depending on the output that the engine produces, some of the letters on the badge may be red.
