Peugeot - BlueHDi Badge
Explaination and usages

What does actually the BlueHDi badge mean on vehicles by Peugeot?
Identification carried by PSA Group (Peugeot and Citroen) vehicles, indicating that the vehicle is powered by one of the HDi engines equipped with the new generation of exhaust systems that reduce the emission of nitrogen oxides (NOx) by 90% and diesel particulates by 99%. Technology is based on a strict control of the combustion process, as well as exhaust gases post-treatment, transforming NOx into water vapour using catalytic conversion. This is accomplished by combining Additive Particle Filter - (FAP) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). Peugeot gladly emphasises the fact it introduced the first serial FAP system back in the year 2000, 11 years before it was enforced by the new Euro emissions standards.
