Ford - EcoBlue Badge
Explaination and usages
EcoBlue

What does actually the EcoBlue badge mean on vehicles by Ford?

Under increasingly stringent requirements for reducing emissions and fuel consumption, along with market expectations when it comes to performance, Ford introduced a new series of diesel engines labeled EcoBlue in 2016, which will gradually replace well-known Duratorq powertrains, which are often hiding behind the TDCi badge. The major changes include reduced friction levels within the engine, as well as optimized fuel combustion leading to a significant reduction in CO2 and NOx emissions, with declared fuel economy increased by up to 13 percent.
