What does actually the HEMI badge mean on vehicles by Chrysler?
Historically, this label was used by Chrysler for its vehicles that were powered by petrol engines with semicircular (hemispherical) shape cylinders which achieved a better distribution of heat and combustion. Nowadays these are large-capacity engines with 6 or 8 cylinders, some of which can be switched off while driving to reduce fuel consumption. They are equipped with two spark plugs per cylinder and variable valve timing system.
