Škoda - RS Badge
Explaination and usages
RS

What does actually the RS badge mean on vehicles by Škoda?

It's short for "Rally Sport", or "Victory Rally Sport" and it suggests Škoda's rich history of participating in the World Rally Championship (WRC). "Victory" prefix was added after a court case with Ford which already had used a high performance RS badge (Ford RS) on their vehicles in the past, but the 'v' in the vRS is ignored everywhere, with an Exception of UK and Ireland. This badge is displayed on the most powerful versions of the Škoda brand models which include highest performance engines, modified suspension components, brakes and exhaust system, as well as the body and interior details. In the beginning RS badge was exclusively reserved for the petrol cars, but can now be seen on the high-end diesel powered ones as well.
